It’s finally here, and there’s a LOT to be excited about, Disney fans!
We’ve been counting down the days until this year’s Destination D23 weekend, where we’re expecting the biggest Disney news drops, announcements, teases, and more. Some of the biggest changes coming to Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and more came flooding out to us last year, and now we know when (and where) everything will take place for this year’s event!
This year’s Destination D23 event weekend is gearing up to be even bigger than ever before! Those attending are invited to celebrate beloved Disney moments and memories with behind-the-scenes stories, as well as be treated to special guests and performances. This exciting weekend gives Disney fans the ultimate sneak peek at what The Walt Disney Company has in store for the future, opportunity to be among the first to access exclusive merch to shop for, and experience plenty of surprises along the way!
This year, Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney will take place from Friday, August 29th through Sunday, August 31st. It’s scheduled to be held at Disney World’s own Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando.
Getting your hands on a ticket to this ultimate Disney fan weekend is no easy feat, but that’s only half the battle. With so many events, panels, and more happening around the event clock, it’s very easy to find yourself picking and choosing what you want to attend the most during your visit. Luckily, Disney’s just released the full schedule to help you map out your weekend in advance. Let’s take a quick peek at a few of the more notable offerings in store:
Friday is when you’ll want to get the bulk of your shopping out of the way!
Here you’ll shop brand new collections from The Walt Disney Company Store, Mickeys of Glendale, Disney Studio Store Hollywood, and Ink and Paint Marketplace.
On Saturday, you’ll find panels dedicated to famous Disney Imagineers, Disney on Broadway, a look into creating “The Happiest Place On Earth”, and a chance to scope out some dishes with Disney Eats.
At night though is when the real party starts because D23 guests are invited to attend Kuzcotopia Night at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park celebrating 25 years of The Emperor’s New Groove.
On Sunday, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy panels and presentations highlighting Disney Villains, The Disney Family Legacy, take a walk down memory lane with Walt Disney Archives, and get a peek into all of the vision that’s behind the iconic Disney castles!
Don’t forget to join the Disney 80’s and 90’s Celebration which will close out the day’s events.
