7 Rides Will Be Closed at Disneyland in August

Summer fun is already underway at the Disneyland Resort as it celebrates its 70th anniversary, but there are some closures you’ll need to be aware of if you plan on visiting in August.

Disneyland

A major refurbishment ended in July with the debut of “Walt Disney — A Magical Life” in Disneyland Park.  Still, closures and the Disney Parks go hand-in-hand, and there are some MAJOR refurbishments scheduled that could deter your August Disneyland trip. Here’s what you need to know…

This August, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will have a combined 7 attractions closed at some point. They are as follows:

Disneyland Park

Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion is gearing up for the Halloween season this August!

The ride will be closed from August 9th through the 21st as it transforms into Haunted Mansion Holiday — its famous The Nightmare Before Christmas theme. The holiday version of the Haunted Mansion will remain from August 22nd through the rest of 2025, as it honors both the Halloween and Christmas seasons. It’ll be transformed back into the normal version of the ride in early 2026.
