Did you know that Hong Kong Disneyland is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this month? Happy 20th — that’s quite the milestone!

Our trusty reporter, Quincy, is in the park right now experiencing allllll this event has to offer, and one of the special new additions is an EPIC nighttime spectacular. This isn’t just any spectacular, though — it features FIREWORKS and DRONES!
We’re here in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort for the 20th Anniversary celebration, The Most Magical Party of All! This is a year-long celebration with TONS of new entertainment and new fun.

This show is called the “Momentous” Nighttime Spectacular and is described as the “Most Magical Show on Earth.” By the end of this, you’ll understand why. The show is about 28 minutes long and features large-scale 3D projection mapping technology, choreographed fountains, illuminated water projection, lasers, theatrical lighting, pyrotechnics, fireworks effects, and DRONES! This 20th anniversary edition features an anniversary-only prelude created specially for the celebration. The projections go down the entire length of Main Street, U.S.A. Yes, it is epic. Yes, we loved it.
Hong Kong Disneyland’s “Momentous” is next-level stunning ??✨—music, projections, and fireworks all synced into one unforgettable night show. Absolute chills from start to finish ???.#HKDL20Party #themostmagicalpartyofall @DisneyParks pic.twitter.com/qGCeZoSf4e

OK, let’s talk drones. Look out for appearances by Disney characters, like the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella, the Genie from Aladdin, Duffy and Friends, and more. In total, the nighttime spectacular is made up of nearly 200 (!!) all-new scenes.

One of the especially “WOW” moments happened during the Moana scene –we watched as waves rushed down the street as the Heart of Te Fiti was restored. In another scene (inspired by Coco), marigold petals fall from above and cover the street in an orange glow. And, like any good Disney nighttime spectacular, beware the Disney Villains as they take over the show!

There is so much MAGIC in this show, too. The castle clock FLOATS in mid-air, and Tinker Bell even transforms the castle and the buildings all the way down Main Street, U.S.A.!

We won’t spoil the entire show, but just know that we loved it and SO wish we could have shows like this in the parks in the United States. We were thrilled to see it in person and can’t wait to explore what else the park’s 20th Anniversary has to offer. Stay tuned to AllEars!
