Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Announces NEW Construction Beginning in July

A lot of construction is being planned for Disney World, with some of it underway right now. For example, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom is getting a major refurbishment, while a Cars expansion and Villains land are happening in the near future.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is busy converting DinoLand, U.S.A. into Pueblo Esperanza, while Muppets Courtyard is closing to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. land. Disney World hotels are also getting upgrades. We previously told you about construction at one EPCOT-area resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, but now we’ve got word MORE construction will be happening at another EPCOT-area resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will be undergoing “routine exterior maintenance” from July through October and the port cocheres will be closed during that time. That also means if you’re staying at the hotel, you might hear construction noises during the day. However, all services (valet, luggage assistance, and transportaton) will still be available during that time, as well as most hotel amenities.

You’ll also want to keep in mind that Stormalong Bay, the pool shared by both the Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts, is still undergoing construction for at least another month (through June 2025).

You’ll also want to keep in mind that the Disney Skyliner, which includes the nearby station at EPCOT will be closed from January 25th through 31st, 2026 for scheduled maintenance.
