Epic Universe’s “wow” factor has made its way into Universal Orlando’s app — and we LOVE the new changes!

We’ve really enjoyed our time already exploring Epic Universe’s worlds filled with new rides, incredible eats, and even more characters to meet! Now, if you use the Universal app, there’s another change to get excited about.

Now that several folks like Annual Passholders and Universal hotel guests have had a chance to spend some time inside Epic Universe, it’s easy to see why many of us are getting excited about every new detail we uncover about the new park and its five worlds.

Epic Universe!

Honestly, though, our excitement goes back even beyond these early previews, and Universal has made an update to their mobile app that calls back to a cool feature we’ve seen before.

Now, in the Universal app, when you pull up the map mode of Epic Universe to get a bird’s eye view of the lay of the worlds, you’ll find icons that call out which section of the park you’re hovering over. But, if you’ll stay over that world for just a bit, you might notice an animated feature that aligns with the respective world you’re “in”. Pretty neat, huh? We’ve spotted dragons from Isle of Berk and electrifying lightning strikes coming from Dark Universe, so when we noticed it, we knew we couldn’t be the only ones excited for this change.

Curiously enough, though, this feels similar to a feature Universal released for Epic Universe’s debut months ago at the preview center inside CityWalk. While looking over the model of the new park, visitors can download a separate app that scans the park model and now incorporates miniature stylings of flying dragons, peeks inside theaters and dark rides, and even guests arriving for their hotel stays at the nearby Helios Grand Hotel.

The cool thing about the Universal app update, though, is you can access this new feature from anywhere you’re using it and don’t have to be on Universal grounds (or at the preview center like we’ve seen before).

It seems like every time we turn around, Universal is finding new ways to keep its visitors engaged with Epic Universe and keep the hype growing.

Don’t go anywhere! There’s still so much to learn about Epic Universe even before the park’s official opening in May! Be sure you’re following along with us at AllEars to see it all.
