BREAKING: Magic Key Reservations Are Officially SOLD OUT For Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary

We’re almost there, a few weeks away from Disneyland’s magical 70th Anniversary celebration!

The party will begin May 16th, 2025, and run through to the summer of 2026. It’s going to be an amazing celebration featuring new shows, the return of dazzling parades, and so much more. The park is going to be packed — but one day that will be more packed than the rest, will be Disneylands actual birth date!

 

All the hard-core Disney fans know that the actual 70th birthday falls on July 17th, but if you’re a Magic Key Passholder looking to celebrate in the park on that date, you might be too late.

Any Magic Key Passholders who were looking to grab a park pass reservation to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure for July 17th, unfortunately they are no longer available. As of April 23rd, all Magic Key reservations are officially SOLD OUT for July 17th. Don’t let go of all hope, there’s always a chance Disney could allow for more availability, or a possibility Magic Key holders could cancel their reservations. Just keep checking the calendar for any updates, and we’ll be keeping an eye out as well.

I think it’s safe to assume that most of us, if not all of us, expected the 70th Anniversary to draw in a large crowd. The parks are going to be packed, and clearly July 17th will be FILLED! With all the new stuff coming, new merchandise, and the return of fan-favorite parades and shows — it makes sense why people are getting ahead of the reservations.

Disneyland is going to have a ton of anniversary decor all over the park. As you make your way around the park, you’ll be stunned by all the dazzline colors and decorations. During Disneyland’s 60th, everything was diamond themed — we can only imagine it will be upped this year. You especially won’t want to miss the 50-foot sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle, it’s said to have “colorful glass panels and golden charms representing the five original lands.”.

Banners and flowers will decorate Main Street, U.S.A., and a medallion will be featured on Sleeping Beauty Castle! This is truly going to be a celebration unlike any other.

Of course, there is going to be a ton of Disneyland 70th Anniversary merchandise — that we’ve already gotten a sneak peak at! The merch is going to be split up into different collections including the Castle Collection, Vault Collection, and the Walt Disney Nostalgia Collection. There is even going to be a magic key you bring around the park to unlock the magic!

Everyone is counting down the days to the celebration, and we are less than a month away. We understand if anyone is disappointed to not go on July 17th, but the celebration will be running all year long, so you’ll get lots of magic in!
