NEWS: Hayden Christensen To Return To 'Star Wars' Franchise

A HUGE Star Wars party is happening right now in Japan. Yes, Star Wars Celebration Japan is happening this weekend, and Disney has already kicked off the event with a ton of new announcements.

However, one of the biggest announcements is one we think some fans are really going to love: Hayden Christensen will be returning as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka season 2.

During a panel about the Ahsoka series on Disney+, series star Rosario Dawson confirmed that Christensen would be reprising his role as Anakin in the second season. Christensen previously appeared in season 1 of Ahsoka in the same role.

In response, Christensen said that there’s “not much he can share” about his return to Ahsoka except to confirm that it’s happening.

That’s not all, though. Season 2 will also bring in some other Star Wars fan favorite characters, including Admiral Akbar. The series will also introduce Loth Kittens, apparently the offspring of Loth Cats, as seen in some Star Wars animated shows and on season 1 of Ahsoka.

Ahsoka showrunner Dave Filoni also announced that Rory McCann would be taking over the role of Baylan Skoll in the series. The character’s previous actor, Ray Stevenson, passed away in 2023. McCann is best known for his role as The Hound in Game of Thrones. Filoni said he spoke with Stevenson’s family and feel that the actor would have been “very confident” with the character’s direction in season 2.
