Epic Universe is a massive new park, and with that comes a lot of new things to navigate.

I’ve been in the park and will be heading back soon to tell you about all the ways to maximize your trip to the park, but one of the most prominent things I noticed could be a BIG issue that affects your trip in a major way. Don’t make this mistake!
You may be used to theme park food arriving quickly in both Disney World and Universal Orlando, even at the table service restaurants where you can dine. However, that’s not the case at the moment here in Epic Universe.

Currently, you need to actively plan for food to be part of your day; dining here is not just something you can quickly stop by and get. Universal’s mobile order and food systems tend to be a bit slow, even at the new hotels, so that means that you won’t be able to roll right up and eat within 10 minutes.

There’s a lot of uniquely themed food at Epic Universe that you’ll probably want to try, but you’ll need to be prepared for long lines and for it to take a while until they get the systems smoothed out. In all honesty, with an entirely new park, that could take a while.

My big pro tip here is that you want to plan your meals like you plan the rides you want to experience. Book well in advance if it’s a table service restaurant you’re eyeing, and don’t expect quick service food to be grab-and-go lightning fast in each land.
