REVIEW: Whoever Made These Disney World Tacos Deserves an Award

There are plenty of places to get Mexican food, including tacos, in Disney World. We’re sure the first place that comes to mind is at EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion.

However, there are other places OUTSIDE of the parks to get good tacos, too, including a restaurant that’s just steps from EPCOT. That restaurant is Rosa Mexicano at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, where we recently ordered some tacos, so we’re here now with a review.

We recently stopped by the Rosa Mexicano lounge, where we ordered the Fresh Ahi Tuna Tacos for $23. These tacos are made with Ahi tuna, soy and lime, red onion, sliced avocado, cilantro, and crispy corn tortillas. The first thing we noticed was just how fresh all the ingredients tasted. We also liked how high-quality the tuna tasted.

The soy and the lime added a nice citrus and acidity to the tacos and kept the fish from tasting too fishy — just a nice balance of flavors. Then you have the crispy corn tortillas, which gave everything a nice crunch.

But we’ve got a word of warning. The jalapeno…now, we like jalapeno, but these were HOT. We’re talking WAY over Disney hot. We found ourselves actually fishing them out to avoid them because they were THAT spicy. The avocado slices do add a nice coolness, though, but still, those jalapenos were A LOT.

Although the portion size might look small, don’t let that fool you. We found this very filling.

So, if you’re looking for tacos and want something a little different from what you can find at EPCOT, just leave EPCOT via International Gateway and walk on over to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin.
