Epic Universe opens at Universal Orlando Resort in less than FIVE months — how wild is that?

In preparation for the new park, you may be looking into some hotel accommodations. Can you stay close to the new park without staying on property (since even Universal’s value resorts can be pricey)? We’re here to help! When you’re looking for hotels around the area, it’s important to look at the ratings and reviews in addition to the price to ensure you and your family have a nice place to sleep. If you need a head start, here are five hotels you may want to look into!
Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando
First up on our list is Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando because not only does it have 4.1/5 stars on Google, but that’s with 7,673 reviews! This is a 3-star hotel with prices sitting around $135 a night, depending on when you book.

Here, you’ll find a pet-friendly hotel with an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi, a fitness center, a bar and restaurant, an optional paid breakfast, and so much more.
Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa
For around $146 a night, you can stay at the 4-star Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa! This hotel boasts a score of 4.2/5 stars with a whopping 25,474 reviews.

This resort has it all — a hot tub, spa, fitness center, free Wi-Fi, optional paid breakfast, a kitchen in every room (that’s a huge deal!), and a WATER PARK! How amazing is that? If you’ve got kids, this is definitely one to look into.
WoodSpring Suites Orlando I-4 & Convention Center
Don’t need anything too fancy? If you need a safe and comfortable place to rest your head for the night, check out the WoodSpring Suites Orlando I-4 & Convention Center.

This hotel has an average rating of 3.7/5 stars with 115 reviews so far. While this hotel is pet-friendly and does have a kitchen in some rooms, there is no pool, and you also won’t be able to dine at any restaurants inside. However, again, if you’re looking for a place to rest your head, it’ll only cost you around $106 a night.
Extended Stay America – Orlando – Convention Center – Universal Blvd
Next up, we have Extended Stay America – Orlando – Convention Center – Universal Blvd, which, contrary to the name, is not ONLY for extended stays! You can find rates here for around $101 a night, and with 1,273 reviews, it ranks 3.9/5 stars.

This hotel also has a kitchen in every room, a pool, is pet-friendly, has FREE breakfast, as well as a fitness center. Don’t knock this one ’til you try it — it may just be one of the best deals you find!
Holiday Inn Orlando International Dr-Icon, an IHG Hotel
Averaging 4.1/5 stars with 243 reviews, you can also stay at the Holiday Inn Orlando International Dr-Icon, an IHG Hotel, for around $160 a night.

Now, that may be on the more expensive side, but we still wanted to mention it. An outdoor pool is available for use, the hotel does have a restaurant and paid breakfast option, as well as a bar. The best part? You’re literally minutes from Epic Universe! Depending on what side of the hotel you’re on, you may even be able to see parts of the park from your room.

Avanti International Resort on I-Drive – they’re only 1.5 miles from Universal Epic Universe and their rates are about $100 a night.
But remember, apparently the only way to get early park admission to Epic Universe is to say at a Universal hotel.
