NEWS: Dense Fog Advisory in Effect for Disney World

If you are headed to Disney World today, it is going to be a foggy morning, and that might have an impact on your day!

A dense fog advisory is in effect for Central Florida until 10AM on December 19th. In some areas, visibility has been reduced to just one mile. How will this impact your day at Disney World?

Visibility has been significantly reduced this morning as a dense fog advisory is in effect until 10AM for the Central Florida area. In the Orlando area, visibility has been reduced to 3 miles, which could impact some of Disney World’s operations.

If you are traveling to the parks today, you will want to use extra caution when driving. Additionally, due to the reduced visibility, Disney boat transportation could be temporarily suspended.

That means if you are headed to Magic Kingdom from the parking lot, you may not be able to utilize the ferry boat to get there. Instead, you might need to use the monorail. Other boat transportation could also be temporarily suspended until visibility has returned. If you are staying at a resort that offers boat transportation, you will want to check with Cast Members and plan ahead that you might need to use a different mode of transportation until the fog has cleared.
