The BoardWalk is home to a brand-new restaurant.
The Cake Bake Shop is the newest restaurant at Disney World. While this adorable bakery and restaurant was highly anticipated, many Disney fans were disappointed when the menu was released. If you have avoided dining at The Cake Bake Shop, we have some good news: it is not as expensive as you would think to dine there.Â
For years, we have slowly watched The Cake Bake Shop transform. In the months before the restaurant and bakery officially opened, more milestones were met. One of those milestones was the menu being posted outside the restaurant. Many people were frustrated with the high prices on the menu and quickly formed an opinion that they would avoid dining at this new restaurant. The Cake Bake Shop took this criticism into account and ended up lowering prices on certain menu items.Â
We have dined at this new location for breakfast and dinner, gone to Afternoon Tea, and yes, we even tried the infamous $23 slice of cake, and in our opinion, The Cake Bake Shop is delicious. We will say that it may be more of a special occasion meal rather than an everyday meal, but the menu prices may not be as expensive as you would think.
It is no secret that food at Disney World is not always the cheapest, and The Cake Bake Shop’s prices reflect similar prices found on other menus across the Park. If you want to dine at The Cake Bake Shop and are looking for some meal inspiration that won’t break the bank, we have you covered!
You could have a three-course meal for under $40, and here is how!
For a starter, you can order the Chicken Velvet Soup for $10.99. For your entree, you can order either the Broccoli Quiche or Turkey Gruyere Sandwich for $23.99. No meal is complete without a sweet treat! For dessert, you can order an individual macaron for $4.50.
While you can obviously dine for less at a quick-service location, less than $40 is not too bad for a three-course table-service meal at Disney World!Â
Dining at The Cake Bake Shop can be reserved for a special occasion, but we seriously recommend checking it out at least once—it is not as expensive as you might think!
