REVIEW: Our HONEST Thoughts About Dinner at Disney World’s AMC Movie Theater Restaurant

When you’re on your Disney World vacation, you may not be thinking about catching the newest movie.

AMC at Disney Springs

After all, you’ve got four parks full of tons of attractions to explore, and hundreds of Disney World restaurants with great meals. Why spend time seeing a movie in a movie theater when you could just do it as easily at home? Well, there’s a pretty amazing AMC Theater inside Disney Springs that makes seeing any movie, but especially a Disney movie, extra special. For us, it might be the only way we see movies in Disney Springs from now on!

Confession time: we love the AMC in Disney Springs. It’s HUGE, there’s always something fun to watch, and (duh!) popcorn! There are two entrances to the AMC Theater in Disney Springs — one side will bring you into the regular theater, where you can get any concessions you’d like by ordering from the counter like normal. However, there’s a second side for the Dine-In Theaters, where the food you’re ordering will be brought directly to your seat!

AMC in Disney Springs!

There are only a couple of Dine-In-specific theaters in the AMC, which is where we chose to see Moana 2! You’ll go into the lobby, scan your ticket, and then head to the kiosks on the left side of the lobby. These kiosks have a menu full of actual dining options, not just snacks, such as chicken tenders, quesadillas, and more!

If you’re seeing a film in the Dine-In Theater, it’ll remind you that your food will be brought to your seat before you check out. However, you can also order food from these kiosks if you’re NOT seeing a movie in a Dine-In theater.

If you’re watching a movie in a regular AMC theater in Disney Springs, the kiosk will display a message that says you’re seeing a film that’s NOT in a dine-in theater, and you’ll need to head to the pickup windows to get your food before going to see your movie. This does take a little bit of time, so if you’re planning to do this, we recommend getting to the theater at least 15-20 minutes before your movie is scheduled to begin.

Order here!

If you’ve picked up a drink (such as a soda or an Icee), you’ll need to head to the pick-up window to the left of the bar to grab your cup and show them your receipt, and if you’ve got an alcoholic drink, you’ll head straight to the bar to grab it after showing your receipt. Then, head into your Dine-In Theater, and in about 15-20 minutes, your food will show up at your seat, and you can eat while you watch your movie!

It’ll be brought to you!

When we went, we decided to grab the Chicken Quesadilla, which, we’ll be honest, tasted a little strange. It was packed with chicken and came with pico de gallo and sour cream, but it didn’t taste like what you’d expect. It didn’t have a ton of flavor, and while it wasn’t bad, we don’t recommend it.

Chicken Quesadilla

For our second entree, we grabbed the Chicken Tenders, which Quincy loves! The fried dough is super thick and crunchy, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and we loved the crispy curly fries with them. Plus, they come with two pieces of Pretzel Bread and a total of three sauces — ranch, honey Dijon mustard, and ketchup. This is one of our favorite honey mustards in Disney World, though the ranch is a little too mayo-heavy for our taste. It was a little greasy, but that just adds to the experience for us.

Chicken Tenders

You come here for the experience of eating AND watching a movie, not exactly for the quality of the food, so we still think this is worth it for a day when you don’t have park admission or you take longer trips to Disney World and need a day of rest. Quincy said she loves the experience, so it very much may be something to add to your list for your next trip!
