Our Favorite EPCOT Ride Overlay Is BACK!

EPCOT is hitting us right in the feels with the spirit of the holiday season.

Christmas baubles

EPCOT’s gearing up for its last big festival of the year celebrating the Christmas season around the World, and if that’s not enough to get you in a holly jolly mood, you can pick up some sweet gingerbread treats from the surrounding hotels just outside of EPCOT’s International Gateway. But there’s one more change inside the park, that we look forward to seeing year after year and it’s finally arrived!

There’s a few rides at Disney World we’ve come to love and appreciate a little more at certain times of the year. Now that EPCOT’s welcomed in the holiday spirit, we’re starting to a few of our favorite rides put on their festive overlays and take on a new personality.

Living With The Land is packed today

One of those sleeper hit rides is Living With The Land. On its own, this relaxing boat ride will take you through different terrains to teach you how plants and food grow in various areas all over the world, but when you mix in a little extra Christmas fun — well, it shines!

Living With the Land Glimmering Greenhouses is back again for the holiday season and will be around for a few short weeks through December 30th. During this overlay, you’ll catch a glimpse of the more festive offerings you’ll find peppered throughout your ride like shimmering lights…

Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the snowman family surrounded by colorful lights in the sand!

And how could you pass up the twinkling lights surrounding you in the tunnel?

This isn’t typically a ride that’s known to pack a full house during its usual day-to-day but there’s just something about those glimmering greenhouses that seems to draw the crowds! It’s like Disney World’s version of a ride themed to driving around looking at Christmas light displays (which quite literally is one of our favorite things to do at home!)

Even the lab gets in on the fun

So if you’re looking to board a boat and set out to see the pretty lights and shimmering displays, know that because of the popularity of this ride’s holiday overlay, you could expect to wait a bit longer than you would to ride the ride than when it’s in its usual form.

We’re checking out all of the holiday offerings at Disney World and telling you all about them! Be sure to stay tuned with us at AllEars for more.
