Genie+ became Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and Individual Lightning Lane became Lightning Lane Single Pass back in July. Several changes were introduced with the update, but one thing stayed the same — surge pricing. The prices of Multi Pass and Single Passes change each day based on how busy Disney anticipates the parks to be. You might want a heads-up that we’re seeing a new high for two Disney World parks in November!

When planning your Disney World vacation, you can now book Lightning Lanes in advance. Guests staying at a Disney World resort or participating hotel, such as the Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve, or Shades of Green, may book their Lightning Lanes up to seven days in advance for the length of their stay. All other guests can book them three days in advance for the length of their stay. Advance Lightning Lanes are available for Multi Pass and Single Pass.

Because Lightning Lanes can be booked in advance, Disney now shows the prices per day for nearly 20 days at a time. So, we’ve now seen that the prices for Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are about to reach their highest prices since April 6th or before, which is before the change from Genie+!

Hollywood Studios

On November 2nd, be prepared for Lightning Lane Multi Pass to reach $32 for Hollywood Studios and $22 at Animal Kingdom! $32 is the same price as Magic Kingdom on that same day. The Multi Pass prices for each park on November 2nd are as follows:

  • Magic Kingdom — $32
  • EPCOT — $26
  • Hollywood Studios — $32
  • Animal Kingdom — $22

When you purchase the Multi Pass for one park, you will be able to park hop to another park and select Lightning Lanes there for no additional price. Multi Pass does not include select rides which are available using Lightning Lane Single Pass. These rides and their prices for November 2nd are as follows:

  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train — $13
  • TRON Lightcycle / Run — $21
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — $18
  • Rise of the Resistance — $25
  • Avatar Flight of Passage — $17

As we get closer and closer to the holidays, it’s not surprising that we’re seeing prices for Lightning Lane increase. Since Thanksgiving and Christmas week are both busy weeks in the parks, the prices are likely to continue to climb. However, you don’t need Lighting Lanes to have a great day in the parks!
