Breeze Airways might not sound familiar to many flyers, as the airline only began operations in 2021. However, in just about 5 years, it’s become quite popular.

David Neeleman, the founder of JetBlue, created Breeze with a focus is to provide efficient and affordable flights between secondary airports and bypassing hubs to give customers shorter travel times. While the airline has attracted many flyers, especially those flying to Walt Disney World thanks to several Orlando routes, there are some things new fliers need to keep in mind.
Since May 2023, Breeze Airways has offered nonstop service to Orlando International Airport, flying out of Terminal B. According to their website, Breeze Airways “has been ranked as one of the U.S.’s best domestic airlines for the last three years by Travel + Leisure magazine’s World’s Best Awards and was awarded “Best Seat Comfort in North America” in June 2024 by the Airline Passenger Experience Association. Breeze offers a mix of more than 170 year-round and seasonal nonstop routes between 60+ cities in 30 states.”

There are Different Breeze Bundles and Fares
Breeze Airways can offer low-priced flights, but the problem is that you do not get many perks with the lower fares, such as choosing your seat and bringing on board a carry-on or checked bag. Breeze offers four different types of Bundles and Fares, and it is essential to know what is included with each before you book a flight.

The cheapest fare is their No Flex Fare. If you choose this fare, you are allowed one personal item. If you want to pick your set or add any additional bags, you must do so for an extra fee. You are not able to change your flight, and if you need to cancel your flight, you can receive a partial credit in BreezPoints. You will earn 1X BreezePoints per dollar spent on your flight.

The next level is the Nice Bundle. You get a standard seat, one personal item, and a carry-on. There are no change or cancellation fees, and you will earn 2X the BreezePoints for each Nice purchase.

The Nicer Bundle is for those who want more benefits. It includes a seat in the extra legroom section, a personal item, a carry-on, and a checked bag. The Nicer Bundle even includes free in-flight WiFi, and you can earn BreezePoints at a rate of 5X on each purchase. You can change or cancel your flight at any time. A new perk of this bundle is that it now includes priority boarding.

The most expensive bundle is the Nicest Bundle. This bundle includes everything that is included with the perks of the Nicer Bundle, but you get to sit in the Breeze Ascent section, which is their version of first class. Unlike the other bundles, this bundle allows you to indulge in complimentary food and beverages, including alcohol. The Nicest Bundle also includes two free checked bags, priority boarding, and you can earn 5X BreezePoints per dollar spent on your total purchase.

Besides, the Nicest Bundle is the only bundle that includes free food and drinks. All other passengers will receive free water, but if you want soda or other snacks, they must be purchased.
Check if it is a BreezeThru Flight
A nonstop flight might not actually be nonstop. Breeze offers BreezeThru flights, “which include a quick stop at an airport along the way to your destination. There’s no need to change planes or recheck bags. Your reservation will have a single confirmation number for both segments.”

If you plan to get off the plane during the stop, you will need your boarding pass and ID to get back on. This is different from connecting flights, which require you to change planes.

Your flight could potentially turn into a BreezeThru Flight even if you did not initially book it that way. During the hotter months, since Breeze flies out of secondary airports with smaller runways, they may add a BreezeThru fueling stop after you have already booked your fare. These stops can add an hour or two to your original flight, so make sure to be aware of the potential change.
The Route from MCO to SNA is Only Offered Seasonally
The nonstop route from Orlando to Santa Ana is a dream for Disney adults. This route is especially great as the majority of nonstop flights from Orlando to the Southern California area are to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana is a much smaller airport and is closer to Disneyland.

These non-stop flight options are only available seasonally. For example, there are no flights on this route through the rest of 2025, but they resume in January of 2026 and fly through the first three months of the year.

Expect to Pay for a Carry-On If You’re Flying Flex
While carry-on bags are included with the Nice, Nicer, and Nicest bundles, they are NOT in the Flex bundles. So, if you go with Breeze’s cheapest options, be prepared to fork over more if you intend on bringing a carry-on in addition to your personal item. Furthermore, the fee is not universal and is dependent on your flight.

There are so many airlines to choose from when flying to or out of the Orlando International Airport. If you choose Breeze Airways as your air carrier, make sure to keep these three things in mind. For more airline and travel tips, make sure to continue to follow along with AllEars!
The BEST Airlines To Fly to Disney World
Have you ever flown Breeze Airways before? Tell us about your experience in the comments!

I just flew on Breeze Airlines today from Key West to Akron. Plane was clean, seats were comfortable and the crew was very nice and professional!
I just flew Breeze for the first time 2 weeks ago going to SC.
What’s great experience with the friendliest people.
I just wish they flew into Baltimore. I’d drop Southwest in a NY minute.
I love Breeze
Love, love, love breeze. I live in Orlando and fly to Bangor Maine and Burlington Vermont several times a year. They are reliable and comfortable. I’ve never had a complaint.
We have had 2 trips on Breeze and have loved it each time. We are planning on 2 more trips soon. Just waiting for the price to go down a little then I will book. Great crew each time we even got to meet with the pilots and chat a bit. Love flying with them
Breeze is my ‘go to’ airline from Orlando to Madison. The planes are spacious and clean and the flight attendants are friendly. What a gem! Please add more days.
Love flying Breeze. My granddaughter lives in JAX so it’s a quick flight from Bradley airport in Connecticut to Jacksonville. Very courteous employees too.
We have been flying in Breeze since its inception. We live in Vero Beach during the winter and our children are in Westchester/ CT. Breeze is like a dream come true for our family. We would love to see Breeze flying from Vero Beach to either Manchester NH or Portland ME. We spend our summers in the Lakes Region of NH so either of those would make life so much easier. Boston Logan is miserable to fly in and out of.
When will breeze fly out of islip to tampa
Breeze is now my favorite plane to travel on. The staff are so kind and pleasant, making everyone feel so at home. The plane is very comfortable and the whole experience is happy, friendly and smooth. I’ve traveled on Breeze several times and have only had super friendly, problem-free and comfortable experiences. Breeze is definitely the best!
You really get what you pay for with the basic no flex fare. I appreciate Breeze providing family seating, and didn’t mind sitting in the back of the plane. But these seats were very filthy and quite unsanitary. I imagine small children were assigned these seats, but it was apparent that no efforts were made to properly disinfect or sanitize. Luckily a parent nearby had baby wipes which allowed me to wipe down our seats, tables, and everything we came in contact with.
Breeze is a great way to fly! I’ve used them several times & plan to do more! My last flight on Breeze was excellent, one of the best landings I’ve ever experienced; I even complimented the pilot on the smoothness of the landing & his skills.
I love Breeze. Flown several times but I upgraded my app and now trying to book a flight, straight shot from AKC to Orlando and can’t it done. Had to postpone to FEB. What’s the problem with the app?
Had to fly earlier to Florida
When I booked flight I also paid Breeze for the car rental
However Breeze only refunded the airfare
Car rental says they did not get the money and Breeze still has not provided proof they sent money to car rental
I have flown breeze several times it was always a great experience
The flight attendants are terrific
I want to love this airline but it can be frought with problems. When a flight doesn’t go as planned, we have started calling it “getting Breezed.” Way too many routes are seasonal and flights are routed so one misstep effects the entire day. Most routes are only served a couple of days a week and many leave either very early or very late. I have flown dozens of times and only 1 or 2 flights were without fault. The airline routing is stretched too thin to be reliable or convenient. They need to add more days and months of operation to routes to be truly useful.
