STRANGE, BUT TRUE: We're Less Than 30 Days Away from This BIG Change in Disney World

Believe it or not, the winter holidays are almost here.

While it may feel like summer only just ended and the Halloween season is in full swing, the truth is that sooner than you think, the halls will be decked and the bells will be jingling. In fact, when it comes to the Disney World, we’re less than a month away from the signs of Christmas beginning to appear.

As we noted at the time, signs began appearing around Disney World days BEFORE Halloween in 2023, with decorations at Animal Kingdom being the first decorations to appear. The other parks weren’t far behind, and by early November the whole Walt Disney World Resort was ready for the season!

The 2024 Holiday Season is set up to be a busy one at Disney World, as several new/revamped experiences and returning favorites will combine to create a magical celebration. Some of these offerings include two of Disney World’s popular after-hours events:

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the iconic holiday favorite special event features Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, characters in their Christmas best, special treats and more. The party runs select nights from November 8th through December 20th.

And the Jollywood Nights special event is returning to Hollywood Studios for a second year with new additions including a “stunning” holiday-themed ice skating show entitled Glisten! The event runs select nights from November 9th through December 21st.

There’s more to the Holiday Season at Disney World than special events however, as the following are available to all park guests:

The Jingle Cruise holiday overlay of the World Famous Jungle Cruise is returning to the Magic Kingdom.
Both the International Festival of the Holidays and the iconic Candlelight Processional are returning to EPCOT.
Each of the parks – – as well as Disney Springs and Disney World’s hotels – – will be decorated in thematically appropriate holiday style.
