NEWS: Orlando International Airport Named One of the BUSIEST in the U.S.

Heading to Disney World from out of town? You may be flying in to a VERY busy airport!

The Orlando International Airport (also known as MCO) is often the choice for people heading to Disney World on vacation, as well as those going to Univeral Orlando or to Port Canaveral for a cruise. Needless to say, it’s incredibly busy there. But now, it has the ranking to prove it!

In a press release, the Orlando International Airport announced that it has been given the title of 7th busiest airport in the entire United States. A report was released by the Airports Council International – North America that compiled a traffic summary of 275 airports.

According to the report, MCO was ranked 7th busiest in passenger traffic among those listed for 2023 and had a 15% increase in traffic from 2022, which was the highest on the list. The airport also ranked 18th for most international travel traffic.

MCO remains the busiest airport in Florida with this report, so keep that in mind when making your travel plans. We always suggest arriving early for your flights to allow time for security and travel to your terminal — it can be busier than you expect.
