There will be a new Disney drone show coming soon!

Tokyo Disney Resort just announced a new traveling drone show that will bring a bit of Disney magic to fireworks festivals across Japan.
The show is called “Magic in the Air” and features 1,500 drones that will take flight to produce Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, and scenes inspired by classic Walt Disney Animation Studios films. Viewers will see scenes created from Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and more. This new show will be a traveling show, that will bring entertainment to viewers across Japan.

Additionally, the drone show will also feature scenes that are themed to the areas of Fantasy Springs, the newest area that opened at Tokyo DisneySea on June 6th, 2024. The themed areas are Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan’s Never Land. Currently, it looks like the first date for “Magic in the Air” drone show will be on July 20th at the 71st Abekawa Fireworks Festival.

Recently, Disney World also saw the debut of a drone show at Disney Springs. The “Disney Dreams That Soar” show also features hundreds of drones flying in the sky to create iconic Disney scenes. The Disney Springs drone show features images from movies such as Up, Big Hero 6, Star Wars, Toy Story, and more. The Disney World drone show debuted on May 24th, 2024, and will run nightly through September 2nd, 2024.

The announcement that Tokyo Disney Resort will also be presenting a new drone show adds to the Disney drone show collection. Disneyland Paris has a drone show called “Disney Electrical Sky Parade,” and Hong Kong Disneyland recently had showings of a drone show called “Find Your Super Power: Battle in the Sky.”

We are excited to see what the “Magic in the Air” drone show has in store for viewers as it travels around Japan. What a fun way to spread a bit of Disney magic and advertise the new area that just opened at Tokyo Disney Resort, Fantasy Springs.
