We know when it comes to your Disney World hotel, so many of you prefer to stay within the Disney “bubble” and will book a stay at a Disney-owned hotel.

However, if you’re a little more flexible and want to save some money, or use some hotel rewards points, you can find some great hotels that are close enough to Disney World to make it worth your while. That’s where the Orlando World Center Marriott comes in.
You’ll find the Orlando World Center Marriott just across from Disney Springs across from I-4. It has a huge waterpark, including a 575-foot lazy river, a championship golf course, ten restaurants, and more. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to Disney World for an additional fee.
But let’s get to the rooms. We stayed in a Poolview Balcony room with two queen-sized beds.

There’s a little hallway that leads from the hotel’s door to the room with the beds.

A set of sliding doors in that hallway reveals the bathroom.

There’s a huge mirror above the sink and vanity in the bathroom.

The area has two sinks, which makes getting ready for the day a little easier if you’re traveling with other people.

You’ll find everything you need around the sink, including tissues…

…and soap and body lotion.

Extra towels can be found underneath the sink, along with a trash can.

This room also features a full-length mirror.

The toilet and shower are a separate part of the bathroom.

The shower is pretty standard and includes body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.

There’s also a bathtub.

Now back to the room itself. There’s a thermostat on one wall.

Each bed has four pillows and those amazing Marriott mattresses.

There are two lights between the two beds.

You’ll find on/off switches for the lights, as well as some USB ports under the lamps.

There’s also an alarm clock on the table between the beds.

Plus a phone…

…as well as a notepad and pen.

The table has a few spaces where you can put some things, as well as a bottom drawer.

Across from the beds is a TV and dresser.

The mini fridge is inside a cabinet at the bottom of the dresser.

Beside the dresser is a desk with a lamp and a chair.

You’ll find a hotel guide on the desk with a list of activities and things to do.

The coffee maker is on the bottom shelf of the desk.

The box to the left of the coffee maker holds cups, coffee, creamer, sugar, etc.

There’s another little table in a nook that has bottled water and an ice bucket.

The furthest corner of the room near the window has a comfy chair.

There’s a lamp that hangs over the chair.

There are sliding doors that lead out to the balcony.

There are both sheer and black-out curtains over these doors.

The balcony, which may be the best part of this room, has two chairs, and a great view.

Here’s the view. We could also see a lot of Disney Springs and even EPCOT from our room.

Here’s our view during EPCOT’s fireworks show.

Overall, the room is pretty standard, but the amazing balcony and view made it stand out. We also liked that there were hard concrete walls on either side of the balcony so it felt very private when we were sitting out there.
We’ll be checking out even more hotels at Disney World and in the Disney World area, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.

Is there any additional storage in the room other than the dresser below the TV and the cabinet between the beds? Any hanging space?
Big fan! As a 90s club kid who made a weekly trip to Orlando from the East Coast. Almost religiously, at 10 pm we gathered to trek to Club Firestone downtown for regular events din ed “Sunday School”. We would arrive usually around midnight. And, after a day or 2, or sometimes 3 – Ha!, in the club, my jnco and halter top, or head shop tee clad crew would role up to the doors of the Marriott just before the day dawned, in all our glorious post dance party grime, and walk in with intent straight to the great glass elevator. We would ride up and down the 50 stories a few times during sunrise for amazing views, and a great experience refecting on our past escapades, before we tumbled out and headed back to the Space Coast before anyone had a chance to get irritated. Just some innocent shenanigans before cameras betrayed all the silly stuff in life and shut it all down. I have had the pleasure of staying as a paying guest several times since. Great hotel. Well maintained, and lovely upgrades with the times. Much love for you always Marriott!! Cheers
