Disney World isn’t the only park going through some serious changes — Disneyland Resort is having itself a moment right now too!

Several new restaurants recently opened at Downtown Disney, and we’re anticipating an opening date announcement for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Park any day now. It looks like more updates are on the way and we’ve got the closures to prove it.
Heads up if you’ve got an upcoming Disneyland Resort trip planned — we spotted some new closures on the refurbishment calendar!

We already knew about several of these, but it looks like both the Disneyland Railroad and Space Mountain at Disneyland Park will be closing for refurbishment soon. They’re both listed as “Temporarily Unavailable” on the Disneyland website as of August 5th.
The Disneyland Railroad does not show operating hours through the current end of the calendar (which is September 9th as of the latest updates to this post), so it is unclear how long that closure will last. Space Mountain, however, does appear to have operating hours listed starting September 6th.

In addition, we noticed that Animation Academy and Turtle Talk with Crush over at Disney California Adventure are listed as being “Temporarily Unavailable” as of August 5th.
As of the latest updates to this post, Animation Academy shows operating hours again starting August 30th. Turtle Talk with Crush lists operating hours starting again on August 16th.

Additionally, starting August 12th, the Disneyland Monorail is listed as “temporarily unavailable.” Hours do not appear for the attraction on the Disneyland website from that date through the current end of the calendar, so it’s unclear when it’ll reopen but we’ll keep an eye out for updates.

Keep these closures in mind if you’ll be heading to Disneyland anytime soon — you don’t want to set yourself up for disappointment. Trust us, we’ve been there. We’ll be on the lookout for any potential updates on these closures and will let you know if anything changes.

When are you heading to Disneyland next? Tell us in the comments.
We’ll be in Orlando from the 5th – 7th of August. Our daughter is 11 years old. What do you remommend.
I am shocked they would have so many major rides closed at once. No discounts for that, right Mickey? Hopefully the parks won’t be busy because of it. Seems like poor planning to me.
Then Disney shouldnt be chargeing full price if all of these attractions are down.
