The Disney Parks are a fantastic place to celebrate birthdays. That’s why the parks and attractions get birthday parties of their own!
We can’t forget the iconic 25th anniversary birthday cake castle over in Disney World or the lengthy 50th anniversary celebration with special decor and treats. Disneyland Resort also goes BIG and that’s no exception for the Matterhorn Bobsleds, which is celebrating its 65th anniversary! With this party comes a brand new tiki mug that you have to see…and it’s going to be hard to get your hands on!
That’s right — the Matterhorn Bobsleds are turning 65 years old! Over at the Disneyland Hotel, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar is celebrating with a new tiki mug themed to the attraction!
Introducing the Matterhorn 65th Anniversary Abominable Snowman Mug! Disney teased this mug on social media and noted that it will come with a Coconut-Pineapple DOLE Whip and Doug P’Gosh (the artist) will be available to sign them. How cool is that?
We have to say, the mug resembles the real thing perfectly!
With something this cool, there’s usually a catch — it’s that the mug will be available on Mobile Order only on June 20th through the Disneyland app. Mobile Order will start as early as 6AM PST on the 20th and if you’re serious about getting one, you’ll want to set those alarms early.
It even notes the 65th anniversary on the back!
We’ve seen several tiki mugs from Trader Sam’s use Mobile Order and sell out pretty quickly. Since these are limited editions, we expect them to go fast so be prepared! The arrival window for designated pickup is between 8AM and 5PM.
To get the mug signed by Doug P’Gosh, you can stop by between 9AM to 12PM and 1PM to 4PM. There is a limit of two per order, so keep that in mind. Take a look at the video Disney released about it!
