Hands down. One of the BEST parts of visiting Disney World is the entertainment!

Yes, the rides are incredible and draw tons and tons of people every day. At many restaurants, the food is unmatched. But with shows like Fantasmic! and Happily Ever After, we have a certain soft spot for the entertainment! And now, there’s an all-new show to check out in Disney World so let’s go!
“Disney Dreams That Soar” is a brand-new drone show that is now available to watch at Disney Springs! We’ve been keeping an eye on the construction before it officially debuted on May 24th.

We’ve seen drone shows at other Disney parks like Disneyland Paris, and we’ve been wondering when Disney World would debut a new one. The show features Disney stories that celebrate the joy of flight with state-of-the-art drones choreographed to dance to a score of Disney music and quotes. We noticed signs up around Disney Springs pointing to the viewing areas.

We lined up ahead of the show’s debut and we were ready to watch! It is set to happen nightly at 9PM and 10:45PM so you have a couple of chances to catch it. People were excited for opening night!

Over 800 drones help make this show go on and create scenes and characters from popular movies. That includes Big Hero 6, Star Wars, Peter Pan, and so many more!

The show is about 9 minutes long but it is jam-packed with action! You’ll hear several Disney songs that you already know with one original song written for the show.

We also spotted Dumbo…

…Baymax in his hero suit…

…and Carl’s house with balloons from Up.

Take a look at it in action!

There’s also Dante (who then turns into a spirit guide)…

…and WALL-E and Eve.

Don’t worry Marvel fans, there’s something for you too!

To view the show, head to the West Side of Disney Springs. There is a viewing area along the waterside between the Cirque du Soliel Theatre that is first-come, first-served. Pro tip: Head to the Coca-Cola Rooftop bar for an excellent view!
Dreams That Soar is scheduled to run each night in Disney Springs until September 2nd. It’s unclear what will happen to the show after that, but we’ll just have to wait and see!
Note that there were some issues with crowds at the first showing tonight, so if you can skip the first week of the show until demand dies down you probably won’t regret it. If you’re only there during the first few days of the show, then opt for the second showing at 10:45.
