This Is Probably Disney's Most DIVISIVE Souvenir Trend Ever

When it comes to picking up souvenirs in Disney Parks, there is no shortage of things to buy.

From Loungefly bags to spirit jerseys to pins to ornaments, there are a VARIETY of fun souvenirs you can grab to bring home with you later. However, ears are probably among the most popular souvenirs, but a recent ear trend seems to have Disney fans split over whether they love them or hate them.

We first saw this trend pop up in 2021 around the holiday season. We found a Chip ‘n’ Dale Ear Headband that was basically Chip’s head on one side and Dale’s on the other, making them seem…well…like they’d been decapitated. At first, we thought “Okay, that’s just weird.” But then some of us thought they were kinda’ cute.

Well, Disney decided to double down on the character head ears. In 2022, Hong Kong Disneyland released custom character ear headbands where you could choose with character heads to add to your ears. Yep, you just choose a head or two or three and put it on your…head. We were still unsure about how we felt about this souvenir at the time.

Well, that trend has made its way over to Disneyland, where you can create custom ear headbands with heads of your favorite characters. Again, with the heads…

So it works like this: you choose a headband, then you choose mini-plush heads to put on the headband. Then you wear the heads on your head like you’ve somehow conquered these poor characters and are now wearing their heads as a warning to those who would dare cross you. Okay, we joke, because this weird souvenir is also kind of cute, too.

Right now, you can currently get these custom character headbands at the following shops: The Mad Hatter in Disneyland and Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff in Disney California Adventure. We haven’t seen them in Disney World yet, but we think it’s only a matter of time.
