Look at this adorable trio. Just look at them. You’ve got the sweetest, goodest (yes, that counts as a word) dog a man could ask for, a clever Wilderness Explorer, and a shockingly good-spirited (despite the frequent frown) old man. We’re BIG fans of Pixar’s Up, can you tell?

If you tear up at the opening scenes of the film or find yourself offering Kevin some chocolate at Animal Kingdom, you need to listen up right this second. What we are about to show you is so amazing and clever, and FUN that you will not believe it’s real. And no, we are NOT being dramatic.
You’ve probably heard of Airbnb. When we mention the company, you might picture a little beach house or a cabin rental. But this new Airbnb rental isn’t any old house. It’s a DREAM HOUSE.

Airbnb announced that it plans to introduce an entirely NEW category of experiences. These experiences will be hosted by 11 Icons on Airbnb, “with new experiences dropping around the world throughout the year.” Sure, it sounds cool to spend an evening in the Ferrari Museum. But what REALLY got our attention was a new listing from an old friend. That’s right — Carl Fredricksen is hosting guests at his iconic house.

Disney and Pixar teamed up with Airbnb to create a FREE (yep — $0 per guest) experience in New Mexico.

The Airbnb listing is up and available NOW, and if your request is fulfilled, you might be lucky enough to sleep inside one of Pixar’s famous homes. The home, located in Abiquiu, New Mexico, is complete with over 8,000 balloons. Wait until you see the details.
Adventure is out there! No, seriously! 👀

Naturally, the house floats, too. Just normal house behavior, right? Floating house with thousands of balloons? Totally normal.

But some of our favorite parts are inside the house. If you’re like us, you’ve probably thought about how comfortable Carl’s chair looks. It’s got decades of use to become the most comfortable seat in the home!

What’s so great about this house is that it really does feel like a home. It’s got so many little knickknacks and framed photos that it truly feels like a home that’s been lived in and treasured for years.

According to the Airbnb listing, Carl is offering a one-night stay in his house. Upon arrival, you’ll enter as a Junior Wilderness Explorer and participate in mini adventures to earn badges. The home can accommodate four guests in a one-bedroom, one-bathroom home with two beds.

Your stay will be jam-packed with things to do to earn those badges. Here’s a peek at some of the activities, per Carl Fredricksen:
- Earn the Caretaker badge: “Do chores like fetching the mail and minding my house. Someone’s gotta do it, might as well be you.”
- Earn the Daydreamer badge: “Do a group activity to create your very own Adventure Book. Hope you like groups, as much as I don’t like them.”
- Earn the Homebody badge: “Pack lunches for a picnic experience on the lawn. Heard it’s charming, but I wouldn’t know.”

Additionally, you will:
- Earn the Adventurer badge: “Head out for wilderness excursions while the sun’s up.”
- Earn the Stargazer badge: “Gather on the lawn to explore the night sky. This was one of Ellie’s favorite things to do.”
- Earn the Sleepyhead badge: “Reflect on your adventures and catch some shut-eye before your morning excursion.”
- Earn the Early-riser badge: “Enjoy the greatest breakfast in the world: bran flakes. Then go on an exciting outing, and come back to a special surprise before you depart.”

Wow. Can we talk about this adventure book? This could make us emotional. Disney and Pixar got ALL the details PERFECT on this. It’s got the stamps, the bird feather, and even some plants Carl and Ellie collected. Requests to book this experience close at 11:59PM PT on May 13th, 2024.
