SNEAK PEEK at the Food Coming to Disney’s NEW Snuggly Duckling Restaurant

Okay, we’ll admit that Tokyo DisneySea’s big Fantasy Springs expansion is giving us serious FOMO (fear of missing out).

The expansion is adding a series of three new lands to the parks based on Frozen, Peter Pan, and Tangled. We might be especially excited about the Tangled addition because, for the first time, a Disney Park is going to have a Snuggly Duckling restaurant. Well, Disney recently shared a first look at the food that will be served there.

The Snuggly Duckling will be themed just like the restaurant of the same name in the Tangled movie. It’s a counter-service restaurant that will be able to seat about 620 diners at a time. Outside, though, it just looks like the quaint pub in the movie where a ragtag group of ruffians sings about having a dream.

Inside, you’ll find all kinds of Tangled references and Easter eggs.

However, what might be the MOST important thing we learned about the Snuggly Duckling is what kind of food will be served there. Obviously, you can expect Tangled-themed food, including the Duckling’s Dream Cheeseburger which has a patty and sausage sandwiched between a yellow duck-colored bun.

You’ll get a total Rapunzel vibe if you order the Sweet Ever After Dessert made with lemon and strawberry.  Why? Because it’s served in a miniature frying pan, just like the one Rapunzel uses as a weapon.

So far, though, these are the only two menu items Disney has shared from the Snuggly Duckling, but we can imagine that there will be even more food items inspired by the films. We will admit that we’ll be seriously disappointed if the restaurant doesn’t serve Hazelnut Soup, though, because that’s Rapunzel’s favorite food. We’ll just have to see… .
