The ONE Reason You Should Go to After Hours Events at Disney World

After Hours events have made a return for 2024!

These late-night events were made for night owls and are happening in three Disney World parks this year. We’re at the first night of Hollywood Studios After Hours this year to check out the wait times, snacks, and crowds! What are you waiting for? Let’s go!

The event on January 10th was not marked as sold out online, so although this event usually leaves the park feeling pretty empty, it’s likely that it’ll be even EMPTIER than usual!

The park was busy when we were going through the park gates. There were also some daytime guests making their way out of the park.

When we entered, we got our wristband for the night! Be warned — Cast Members will be asking to see a wristband a lot to make sure guests are where they are supposed to be.

The mix of daytime visitors and After Hours ticketholders can cause crowding especially at the front of the park.

We entered the park at 7PM and at 7:10PM, the Disney Movie Magic show began which added to the crowds.

Once the people dispersed to Fantasmic! or to the entrance of the park, there was room to breathe. Look at all of that space!

After Fantasmic!, Sunset Boulevard was even emptier.

Some areas of the park are so quiet! Hello? Anyone home?

Despite Toy Story Mania posting some of the highest wait times (which are still low compared to daytime lines), Toy Story Land was pretty open as well.

It was peaceful back in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — we love seeing this land at night.

At around 10PM, this is what Hollywood Boulevard looked like. WOW.

After Hours events at Hollywood Studios take place on select nights from January 10th to April 10th. Ticket prices range from $155 to $175 depending on the date, and Disney Vacation Club Members/Annual Passholders can get tickets between $125 and $145.
