The most talked about meet and greet of the season is HERE, but if you’re not quick you might miss it!

Universal Orlando’s holiday season has started with a whole slew of holiday offerings including a nighttime spectacular in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, a full Christmas parade happening nightly featuring Macy’s ginormous balloons, and a few yuletide festive foods to boot… But, if you don’t know the best way to experience one of the most EXCLUSIVE Universal offerings of the season, we’re here to give you a few pointers to make it happen.
Once a year Universal’s Islands of Adventure undergoes a huge transformation in Seuss Landing. This is potentially one of the first lands you step into past the entrance and Port of Entry depending on which way you start around the lands.

The whimsical and wonky world of Dr. Seuss comes to life straight from the pages of the beloved books and gets a whole land overlay just in time to celebrate the holidays in the best way it knows how — GRINCHMAS!

While Grinchmas is arguably our favorite time to visit Islands of Adventure, there’s another show-stopper that you’ll need to be aware of way before you step foot into the land. Why, we’re talking about t- th- the- THE GRINCH of course!

You’ll have an opportunity to meet and greet with the mean one himself in the flesh (Or fur? We’re not sure really) but doing so may not be as easy and just a will and a walk up… unless you’re ready to stand in line for HOURS.

Seriously, the past few visits we’ve made out to Universal since the Grinch meet and greets have started at Grinchmas have been bonkers with folks scrambling to get a photo with one of the cruelest characters around. We’ve spotted line wait times well over 2 1/2 hours consistently but we’ve got a hot tip for you to bypass the headache of a super long line.

Universal usually offers early park admission for one of their theme parks most days and is offered to those who are staying at a Universal Orlando hotel OR are a select Universal Orlando annual passholder with the higher tiers). Be sure to make certain this applies to you and you could snag a place in line 30 minutes earlier than the regular day folks visiting the park (and that could help get a jump start on a ride or two beforehand as well).

However, if this isn’t you, your best strategy is to make sure you arrive early to the park (with plenty of time to get through the parking garage, out of security, and in line to scan into the park) and make it your top priority for the morning.
It’s also important that there’s no virtual queue line as has been offered with past meet and greets with the Grinch so it truly is on a first-come, first-serve basis to whoever is willing to wait it out.

If waiting for a meet and greet with the Grinch all your own isn’t quite your cup of tea, but you’d still like to catch a glimpse of him, you’ll be able to see him in the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular — a musical retelling of the story “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” that boasts multiple showtimes each day through the season.
