We didn’t realize we needed to train for this skill, but we’re quickly understanding it may be crucial to surviving the holiday crowds at Disney World.
Disney World crowds are always a divisive subject and with Genie+ pricing the highest it’s ever been starting off this holiday week, there’s another tip we think could be a lifesaver if you’re really wanting to maximize your time in the Disney World parks. But, here’s a warning, you’ll need to be super quick about it, before they’re all GONE!
With the rising crowds we’re seeing in Disney World headed into the holiday, it’s no surprise that you may have to wait longer to ride some of your favorite lines. Disney World has Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes to help cut down these wait times, especially during really busy days with lots of people flooding the parks. However, if you’re looking to snag a few of these to help save you time so you’re not waiting so long in line, you’ll need to be quick!
Very early this morning, several of the rides and attractions that are offered as ILLs (Individual Lightning Lanes) were already sold out…
…and it seems they’re also coming with a higher price tag to purchase. We saw Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind priced at $17 in EPCOT with it being the only remaining ILL to purchase as of 9:30AM today.
So what does this tell us? If you’re budgeting to work in these extra features to save you time during your Disney World visit, you’ll need to be (lightning) fast to grab them. Individual Lightning Lanes open at 7AM for Disney World hotel guests and at park opening time for other guests. You’ll also want to taper your expectations so that you may not grab the ideal time you’d like to ride these attractions and make sure your plans are flexible enough to allow for a little wiggle room in case things don’t go according to your pre-planning.
