The MUST-GET EATS at Disney’s Festival of Holidays

All the Disney parks have begun celebrating the holidays and we’re certainly not complaining.

Santa

Disneyland’s Festival of the Holidays is now going on in Disney’s California Adventure from November 10th through January 7th, 2024. We stopped by the festival to try all the delicious new food items. While all were good, there were a few that stood out. These are the best of the fest for the 2023 Festival of Holidays in California Adventure!

We’re starting our Best of the Fest list off with a bite at the Merry Mashups booth. Here we found the Southern Mac & Cheese with andouille sausage and spiced panko crunch for $9. Fair warning — this is GREASY. It tastes great, though, with a lot of cheese flavor throughout. It was also not TOO spicy, although you do get a bit of a kick from the andouille and spiced panko.

Another Best of the Best at his booth is the non-alcoholic Santa’s Milk & Cookies Hot Cocoa for $7, which is inspired by The Santa Clauses series on Disney+. It’s made with whole milk, cookies and cream powder, and white chocolate with whipped cream. We LOVED this hot cocoa. It was creamy and smooth and had a wonderful cookies and cream flavor.

Then we move on to our next favorite food item —the Pumpkin Layered Cheesecake for $6.50. This is New York-style cheesecake, pumpkin gooey cake, and graham cracker topped with spiced Chantilly and a chocolate decoration. We loved this one and think it might be one of the best desserts at the festival. It was well balanced and the pumpkin flavor wasn’t too overwhelming.

Cheesecake

Next up, we loved the Glacier Margarita over at A Twist on Tradition. This was $16.00 and worth every penny in our opinion. It was sweet and fruity with great flavors of coconut and lime. The rosemary syrup was not detectable, which could be a good or bad thing depending on what you normally like, and the “champagne” bubbles candy were adorable little gumdrops. We would wait in line every day for this fun, photogenic (and delicious) drink.

And last, but not least, over at the Winter Sliderland booth we tried the Beef Brisket Slider with smoked onions and horseradish ketchup on a pretzel roll for $9. This is a returning item and we get it every year. We did find the brisket tasty, especially with the horseradish ketchup — but we especially loved the pretzel roll. Don’t worry, though, this slider isn’t TOO spicy, but it does have a little bit of a kick.

The flavors of these dishes were unbelievable. If you’re stopping by the California Adventure Festival of the Holidays, you’ve gotta give these a try!
