There’s just something to really love about fall.

First, it brings the Halloween season to the parks — and we’ve loved seeing the fall and Halloween decorations in Disney World. It also brings new snacks, and we love trying them all out. Now, fall has brought a new experience to an EPCOT restaurant.
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya is one of Disney World’s most unique restaurants in that its theme changes with the seasons and specific Japanese celebrations. When last we visited, we enjoyed the Tanabata Festival of summer.

Well, fall has arrived, as has a new festival to celebrate at Shiki-Sai. The new Autumn festival has even brought some new decor inside the restaurant: you’ll now find maple trees at the restaurant’s entrance.

The little card handed out to restaurant guests has changed, too — it has an autumn theme with two rabbits enjoying the season under a maple tree.

You’re supposed to write haikus or your wishes on the back of the card, then you’ll hang it on a tree in the restaurant.

Shiki-Sai wrote on its social media:
“Welcome to Shiki-Sai’s Autumn Delight! 🍂🌕
As leaves turn gold and nights grow cool,
We’ve transformed, it’s a fall dream come true!
Maple trees adorn our entrance with grace,
Whispering secrets of this enchanted place. 🍁
Join us under the moon’s gentle gleam,
Write haikus and wishes, let your spirit beam,
Experience the magic, enjoy seasonal delights,
At Shiki-Sai, fall’s beauty ignites!🍁🌟”

There’s no indication that any menu items might be changing at the restaurant with the different festivals, but we’ll keep an eye out and let you know if any new things get added.
In the meantime, you can make an advance dining reservation at the restaurant 60 days from the first day of your Disney World vacation, so if you’d like to check out this new festival, mark your calendars!

That was the best meal we had on our most recent trip, even beat Toppolino’s.
