How to Create a Haunted Mansion-Inspired Look For Disney World

Okay, that’s not exactly what Madame Leota said, but it’s close enough. And it’s also SUPER fitting, because today, we are acting as your very own Haunted Mansion stylists. Spooky season is well on its way (or, if you’re on Disney World’s schedule, spooky season is already here), so our goal for the next couple months is to help make sure that our readers have the very BEST spooky outfits that are Mansion Maid-approved.

This post is going to highlight a few of our favorite Haunted Mansion-inspired looks that you can wear to Disney World for the Halloween season, or ANY time of year if you’re just a fan of the Mansion. (I mean, who ISN’T a fan of the Mansion?) So, hop in your Doom Buggy, and let’s get to planning some outfits.

Hitchhiking Ghosts-Inspired Outfit

Alright. This first outfit highlights some serious icons of the Mansion: the Hitchhiking Ghosts. They’ll follow you home, and around the parks.

To achieve this look, take some black pleated shorts (or trousers, if it’s chilly), and pair it with a Hitchhiking Ghosts tee like the one shown above. We paired this outfit with some white Tevas ’cause they’re comfy and will help keep us cool. Add some Mansion-inspired accessories like these ears, earrings, and a park bag, and you’re good to go!

Speaking of park bags… there are a few Haunted Mansion bags that we think would work great with this outfit. Heck, they’d work great with ANY of these outfits.

Alright, who’s ready for the next outfit?

Mansion Maid-Inspired Outfit

Now this outfit is one that will surely be Mansion Maid-approved. This could make for an excellent costume for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

This outfit features a striped dress that resembles the blouse of the Haunted Mansion Maid costumes. We also found this maid headband to pair with the outfit, as well as some black combat boots. Add some Haunted Mansion-inspired accessories and you’ll be doomed for a great time.

One accessory that we particularly like is this Haunted Mansion MagicBand+.

It could be easy to pair with any Halloween outfit this fall, especially the ones featured in this post.

This next outfit is an ode to Madame Leota herself.

We found this dress with a Madame Leota print, but you could still rock the same kind of look with a plain purple or black dress. We added some black boots, some Mansion and Leota accessories, and boom! It’s an outfit right out of a gorgeous nightmare.
