5 Things I Learned While Riding 27 Disney World Rides in ONE DAY

There are a lot of rides in Disney World and getting through everything you want to on your trip might seem a bit daunting.

Fry Bucket at Rock ‘n Roller Coaster

I recently took on the challenge of trying to ride as many rides as I could in one day. It was a pretty difficult…and I learned a lot along the way. Some of these tips could even help you get through everything you want to on your trip!

Before I get into the details, you can check out the video from our YouTube channel right here!

While this attempt was not my best number, 27 rides in one day is still an accomplishment! Here are five big lessons I learned from riding 27 rides in one day!

1. Park hours are KEY to a successful Disney ride marathon.

If there is one thing I have learned from my MANY Disney World ride challenges, it’s that park hours play a pivotal role in shaping your day. It’s always important to check park hours before you decide what park you want to go to on each day of your trip.

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom most of the time stays open late, sometimes even until 11PM. However, on this day, it closed at 10PM. So I lost out on a whole extra hour of riding rides because the park hours were different.

2. Arrive early for a head start.

Another thing that I have learned from this experience is the significance of arriving early. Disney resort guests have the advantage of getting into the parks 30 minutes early with Early Theme Park Entry but regardless you should get to the park 30 minutes prior to when you can enter.

Expedition Everest

By getting to the park early for rope drop, I was able to join the crowd and make my way to popular attractions like Frozen Ever After, ensuring a shorter wait time and maximizing my time. Remember, every minute counts in Disney World so if you are a Disney resort guest, take advantage of that perk!

3. Buying Disney Genie+ can give you more control over your day.

If you decide to purchase Disney Genie+ for your Disney day, there are multiple ways you can make it worth your hard-earned money. If you don’t know anything about Disney Genie+, be sure to check out our Genie+ resources here on AllEars.Net!

Peter Pan’s Flight

Now in order to maximize Genie+, it’s all about strategy! My advice? Grab your next Lightning Lane as soon as possible! For this challenge I did a combination of first available and more popular attractions. I tried to avoid the dreaded “2 hour cooldown” as much as possible, but sometimes it’s unavoidable.

4. Pace yourself. Remember, this is vacation!

While the temptation to conquer everything in Disney World can be strong, it’s crucial to remember that you are on vacation! It’s important to pace yourself and savor the magical moments. Along with so many fun rides and attractions, make sure to take breaks, appreciate those Imagineering details, meet some characters, and eat some Mickey-shaped snacks!

Toy Story Mania

By creating that balance you’ll create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. And isn’t that what a Disney vacation is all about?

5. Make time for unexpected magic!

And last but not least (maybe the most important point!), I always say that it is important to be flexible in Disney World. Not just from today but from EVERY time I go to Disney, I have learned that some of the most memorable moments can come from spontaneous encounters and unexpected discoveries.

Fantasyland

Having an open mind and allowing your plans to be flexible helps to relieve the stress of a Disney World vacation. While planning is important for Disney, don’t be afraid to deviate from the schedule and embrace the spontaneity that Disney World has to offer.
