If you’re looking to dine in Disney World, we have some good news.

All kinds of dining news has hit Disney World lately — from menu changes to the reopening of snack stands. Plus, NEW eats are heading to Disney Springs soon as part of a special Florida-themed festival. Over at Disney’s BoardWalk, two spots had been closed for a while which might have complicated your dining plans, but now they’ve reopened!
Trattoria al Forno closed a bit earlier in June 2023 for some refurbishment. The closure was originally set to last until June 17th and breakfast continued to be served from the restaurant, but those with reservations had to hop next door to the dining room at The Flying Fish to eat.
Later in June, the reopening for Trattoria al Forno was pushed back to “late June.”

But as we made our way around the BoardWalk on June 22nd, we noticed a change. It looks like the refurbishment at Trattoria al Forno has wrapped up and the restaurant will be open once again!

We stepped beyond the front doors…

…and into the front space of the restaurant.
The restaurant shows hours from 5PM to 10PM for dinner on June 22nd. We stopped by a bit before the dinner service began, but a Disney Cast Member there did mention that there had been some work done on the ceiling (internal work, so nothing you’ll notice from the outside) and a NEW floor had been put in place in certain sections. The Cast Member also shared that they would be reopening for dinner service on that night.

We stopped by a little later…

…and got a peek inside at the refurbished space.

This is where some of the new flooring has been placed (new flooring reportedly has been placed in the kitchen as well).

But wait…there’s MORE! The BoardWalk Pizza Window had also closed recently for some refurbishment, though its pizza was available at a temporary location nearby.

On June 22nd, we saw that the regular BoardWalk Pizza Window location was once again open and serving guests!

A cash register for the Pizza Window was still set up by Abracadabar, however.

So it looks like 2 spots on the BoardWalk are now available for you to stop by again. But the BoardWalk still has quite the transformation to undergo as The Cake Bake Shop construction continues.

We’ll keep an eye out for more updates on these spots and let you know what we find. For more updates from the BoardWalk, click here to see what perk has returned to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and get a look at the new hallways and decor within the hotel!
