We always say it: “I’m not gonna spend money on Disney merchandise on my next trip.”

We already KNOW we’re lying to ourselves, because we can already imagine the newest Dooney and Bourke bag sitting at Creations Shop, our kids begging for the newest character plush, and our friends at home begging for us to bring them back a “surprise.” Sound familiar? Yeah, we thought so. Buying merchandise at Disney World can be EXPENSIVE — but maybe it doesn’t have to be.
Our job here at AE is to make your Disney experience easier — and included in that is sharing with you all our tips and tricks to save money. That means saving money on merchandise, because let’s face it — we’re lying to ourselves when we say we aren’t going to buy anything. So, take a scroll through the discounts below and see how YOU can save some cash during your next walk through the Disney shops.

Annual Passholders
Annual Passholders can save on TONS of merchandise purchases at Disney World. By showing that you’re a Passholer, you can save 20% in the Disney World parks and hotels, and 10% at various Disney Springs shops. Just make sure to have your valid Annual Pass and your ID with you to show to the Cast Member at checkout. Just be aware that you can’t combine this discount with others. If you aren’t a Passholder but this perk makes you want to be, don’t forget that Pass sales will resume on April 20th!

Sometimes, this discount even gets increased so that you can save even more on select purchases.
Disney Visa Cardholders
Disney Visa Cardholders can save 10% on select merchandise purchases!

If you already have a Disney Visa credit card, make sure to bring it with you to Disney World! You can get 10% off purchases of $50 or more at numerous Disney World shops. If you’re using mobile checkout, just add your Disney Visa card to your Disney app to get your discount there, too. If you’re shopping online at shopDisney, use the code DRVCMEMBER to get your discount there, too!
Disney Vacation Club Members
Disney Vacation Club members can save on select merchandise purchases!

You can save 10-15% at shops like Columbia, Basin, and Alex and Ani. You can save 20% at the official Disney merchandise shops in the parks and hotels.
D23 Gold Members
D23 Gold Members can save at select Disney Springs retailers like Alex and Ani, Basin, and Arrabis Brothers. These discounts range from 10-15%, and sometimes the discount locations get extended to locations within the parks, like the Crown and Crest at EPCOT, where you can currently get 15% off your purchase.

On top of these discounts, be on the lookout for discount announcements from Disney. Shops like World of Disney have sales throughout the year that ANYONE can participate in, so keep your eyes peeled for announcements. Here at AE, we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear about any new ones. Follow along for more Disney news and updates, including all of our tips and tricks to save money at Disney World.
