NEW Cast Announced for Disney’s Live-Action ‘Lilo and Stitch’ Movie

It’s hard not to love the mischievous Experiment 626.

Stitch gets some of the most adorable merchandise, and you can usually see him in Magic Kingdom waving to adoring fans. Now, he’s even getting a NEW movie! Disney’s new live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch is in the works, and Disney has recently cast two new actors for this upcoming film.

The progress on the live-action Lilo & Stitch is underway — Disney shared earlier this month that Maia Kealoha has been cast to play Lilo. In February, we learned that Zach Galifianakis would be joining the cast as well. But now, we know two more actors involved in this film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney has cast Lilo’s older sister and legal guardian: Nani.

Sydney Elizabeth Agudong, who has just wrapped up her latest film as the starring role in the independent film, At Your Feet, was born and raised on the island of Kauai.

According to Deadline, Disney has also cast Billy Magnussen, who appeared in the 2021 Bond film No Time to Die, in another role for this film. It is still unknown who Magnussen will play, or any details about the plot — but we’ll keep you updated as we know more!

There are quite a few other live-action films in progress at Disney right now as well. The Little Mermaid hits theaters this May, Peter Pan and Wendy will be available on Disney+ later this month, and a new live-action Aristocats is in the works.
