Dangerous TikTok Trend Prompts Disney WARNING

A number of trends have swept across Disney’s parks in the past few years.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout

Some are fun, like Disney Bounding and adding touches of a character’s style and outfit to your own. Other times, we’ve seen Disney pick up trends of its own like creating incredibly expensive designer ears or starting holiday parties earlier in the year. But now one trend has prompted Disney to issue an important warning.

According to The Orange County Register, there is a “dangerous TikTok trend” that has been encouraging people to break some rules while riding Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT! at Disney California Adventure Resort (in Disneyland Resort).

The trend encourages guests to improperly secure their seatbelts in order to increase their “airtime” in the drop tower.

Disneyland officials indicated that they’ve recently had some incidents of unsafe guest behavior on the ride. This has prompted Disneyland officials to place new warnings at the ride.

According to Disneyland officials, those who do not properly follow the safety protocols on the ride will be asked to leave the park. In order to properly follow the rules, riders must keep their seatbelts securely fastened and tight against their waists.

This follows another warning placed on both the Disneyland and Disney World websites about being courteous to guests and Cast Members. It’s important to look for and follow all rules at the Disney parks (particularly when it comes to guest safety) to ensure that you can enjoy the parks and rides as they were designed.

We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more Disneyland news and let you know what we find. In the meantime, check out this post about some unwritten rules at Disneyland, and watch our video below about having the BEST day ever at California Adventure.
