When you’re planning a Disneyland vacation, there are a lot of things to take into account.
You have to figure out when you’re going, what kind of tickets you want, where you want to eat, and if you’re going to use things like Disney Genie+. You also have to take into account things that might be closed during your trip. And, one popular ride is actually shutting down in the beginning of next year.
According to the Disneyland Resort website, Radiator Springs Racers will close for a refurbishment starting on January 17th, 2023.
The refurbishment calendar only goes through mid-January, so it’s not clear yet how long this refurbishment will last. But if you want to hop on the ride before it’s closed, your last day will be January 16th!
Oddly enough, there was originally a DIFFERENT ride that was scheduled to be refurbished during that time, but Disney changed the schedule. WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure was supposed to be temporarily closed starting on January 9th, but that refurbishment is no longer listed on the calendar, and hours are listed for the attraction during that time.
The only other attraction at Disney California Adventure that will be closed at that time is Grizzly River Run, but there will be a number of refurbishments happening at Disneyland Park. Make sure to check the refurbishment calendar before your visit (the closures are listed at the bottom of the “day view” calendar on the Disneyland Resort website).
