New 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' Food, Characters, and MORE Coming to Disneyland

The next big Marvel movie is coming VERY soon!

We’re talking about Wakanda Forever, the sequel to Black Panther. Here’s the thing — if you’re excited about the release of the movie, Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus is having a HUGE celebration in honor of it!

The celebration begins on November 11th, 2022 and lasts through January 8th, 2023. This celebration will include M’Baku making his debut in Avengers Campus — he will be inviting recruits to join in “The Way of the Jabari,” a new experience at the campus!

Guests will also be able to visit the Black Panther Celebration Garden to “honor the legacy of the Black Panther in Wakandan Lore.”

There will also be some Wakanda-themed food available. The Flavors of Wakanda Marketplace, which will be located in the Hollywood Backlot, will feature “flavorful, spiced traditional African dishes.” Dishes will include Peri-Peri Chicken with yellow Jollof rice, Butterfly Pea Tea Lemonade, a Dawa beverage (made with vodka, lemonade, honey, ginger beer, and butterfly pea tea), and Maafe (a ground peanut stew with sweet potatoes, tomatoes, black-eyed peas, and spices, served with naan).

Shawarma Palace and Shawarma Palace Too will feature some new foods, including the Wakandan Roasted Pork Wrap, made with spiced pork with black garlic sauce and chermoula.

Guests will also be able to purchase the Shuri’s Gauntlet cup at the Flavors of Wakanda marketplace, Shawarma Palace, Shawarma Palace Too, and at some of the vending carts near Avengers Campus.

Props and costumes from the movie will be on display in the Super Store. Guests will also be able to buy Black Panther-themed merchandise.

In Downtown Disney near the Star Wars Trading Post, a special mural will honor the movie — it will be created by Nikkolas Smith, who previously created the “King Chad” artwork previously seen in Downtown Disney.
