Act FAST to Get the NEWEST Limited-Time Collectible in Disney World

Calling all tiki mug collectors!

Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Tiki mugs released at Trader Sam’s in both Disney World and Disneyland can be incredibly popular and sometimes difficult to get ahold of if you don’t act quickly enough. In the past, we’ve seen nutcracker tiki mugs and other specialty tiki mugs released, and now another mug has made its way to Disney World, but we have a feeling it won’t last long!

The Monstro Tiki Mug was first released at Disneyland’s Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and it sold out FAST. But now, the mug has made its way to Disney World!

The NEW limited-time Monstro Tiki mug was released at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and Tiki Terrace at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort on September 8th, 2022, in celebration of Disney+ Day and the release of the live-action Pinocchio on Disney+!

TIKI MUG TIME!

When we saw that the tiki mug was going to be released in Disney World, we made our way over to the Polynesian Village Resort ASAP. We first stood in line near Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto to check in and get a wristband so we could grab our mug.

Grab that Wristband

These lines can be pretty lengthy, so you’ll want to come early to make sure you can grab a wristband. At around 2PM ET we were able to get our band, though the distribution of the mug would not begin until 3PM ET.

Gotta Wait in Line!

After grabbing our wristband, we were able to hop in a line of folks waiting to get the mug. And the weather was…less than ideal. Flood advisories had been issued for Disney World’s counties, but the tiki mug fans could NOT be deterred by the rain!

Oh My

After more waiting…and waiting…and a little bit more waiting 😆 we inched our way to the front!

We’re So Close!

Note that the mug is priced at $50 and is served with your choice of an alcoholic drink (the Whale of a Tale) or a non-alcoholic drink (Treacherous Waters).

Drink Details

We waited for about 75 minutes in total before being able to get our mug.

The Whale Has Arrived!

The tiki mug is designed to look like Monstro, the whale from Pinocchio, and is beautifully detailed.

Our Tiki Mug!

We grabbed our tiki mug with the alcoholic drink, the Whale of a Tale. It is made with Malfy Gin Originale, Plantation Pineapple Rum, Italian Liqueur, Pineapple Juice, Orgeat (Almond) garnished with Orange Wheel, Charred Pineapple Wedge, and Pineapple Leaf.

Our Drink

If you’re hoping to grab this tiki mug, you’ll want to act fast! It’ll only be around while supplies last and we think this one could sell out quickly.
