MagicBand+ launched in Disney World in 2022, and we’ve already shared our FULL thoughts on the good things (and the not-so-great things) about this new tech.

The new MagicBand+ can do everything that normal MagicBands do, and they have some additional features as well. For example, you can play a bounty hunter game in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But MagicBand+ is more expensive than classic MagicBands, generally ranging between $34.99 and $44.99. But there is a discount available — check and see if you qualify!
Who Can Get The Discount?
Guests who are staying at a Disney hotel have access to a pre-arrival discount, which provides them with a way to save some money on a new MagicBand+. The same also goes for Annual Passholders. The discount is for $10 off certain bands.

How Much Is The Discount?
Solid-color MagicBand+ bands cost $34.99 ($24.99 with the discount), and bands with designs on them cost $44.99 ($34.99 with the discount).

Of course, the discount only applies to some options, so you’ll be somewhat limited. For example, the discount doesn’t apply to many Star Wars, Disney Parks, and seasonal MagicBand+ designs.

How Does The Discount Work?
If you have a Disney World Resort hotel reservation, you’ll qualify for the discount 6 or more days prior to your hotel reservation. If you have an Annual Pass, you’re eligible 6 or more days prior to your theme park reservation, but you can only redeem the discount once per Annual Pass cycle.
Here’s how it works for both Annual Passholders and Resort hotel guests:
- Create or sign in to your Disney account
- Link your Resort hotel reservation or Annual Pass to your Disney account
- Select My MagicBands and Cards to complete your order

Where Can I Get MagicBand+ Inside Of The Resort?
If you don’t qualify for this discount, or would rather go inside the parks and pay full price for a MagicBand+, here is where you can find them:
- Magic Kingdom Park: Emporium
- EPCOT: Pin Traders – Camera Center
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Celebrity 5 & 10 and Tatooine Traders
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Discovery Trading Company
- Disney Springs: Disney’s Pin Traders
- Select merchandise locations at Disney Resort hotels.
