The NEW Perk Amazon Prime Members Need to Know About

Are you an Amazon Prime member? Or thinking of becoming one? We’ve got some BIG news for you about how you could get an extra special perk just by being a member!

There’s certainly no shortage of Disney items you can find online. And Amazon, in particular, is home to a lot of Disney deals. We’ve seen all kinds of items for sale there, including some epic ones for Halloween. And while Amazon Prime members can get special perks on the Amazon site itself, they can also now get another service for FREE.

Amazon Prime has made a deal with Grubhub, the popular delivery service. According to The Orlando Sentinel, Amazon Prime members can now sign up for Grubhub’s Plus membership, which usually costs $9.99 a month, completely for FREE.

The Grubhub Plus membership allows members to order from thousands of restaurants with no delivery fees on most orders. After one year, Amazon Prime members will be charged for the service unless they cancel their Grubhub Plus membership.

The deal comes out of a partnership formed between Amazon and Just Eat Takeaway. Just Eat Takeaway bought Grubhub in 2020. Under the partnership between the companies, Amazon will start off with an initial option to take a 2% stake in Grubhub, which could rise to 15% if certain performance levels are met.

In a statement, Amazon said that the deal between them and Grubhub makes the Amazon Prime membership even more valuable. There are more than 200 million Prime members worldwide, most of which are in the U.S. As for Grubhub, The Orlando Sentinel shares that it could give Grubhub a “much-needed boost” as it faces heavy competition from other delivery services, like Uber Eats and DoorDash.
