Jurassic World: Dominion hit theaters this weekend!

The 6th Jurassic Park movie was released on June 10th after several delays due to COVID-19, and even Universal Orlando is celebrating the occasion with an exclusive donut. The film brought back original stars Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill, and opened to a record-breaking weekend at the box-office!

According to VarietyJurassic World: Dominion will earn $142 Million on its opening weekend at the domestic box office. This dethrones Top Gun: Maverick, which grossed $126 Million, making the movie the highest-grossing non-superhero movie since theaters reopened after the COVID-19 lockdown.

2015’s Jurassic World still holds a pretty impressive box office record as the 7th highest-grossing film of all time. It trails Spider-Man: No Way Home, which grossed $1.9 Billion worldwide.

Variety notes that Jurassic World: Dominion currently has the lowest approval rating of all three films, earning a 31% on Rotten Tomatoes, but that hasn’t stopped fans from heading to the theater for the newest installment.
