Select Guests Can Now Register for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

Have you ever had to run through Disney World? (No, not to make your dining reservation; we’re talking about a race) Disney has its own division dedicated to marathons and races called runDisney, which, several times a year, hosts races in both Disney World and Disneyland. 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of one of the most popular runDisney events: the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.

Recently, Disney announced the theme for next year’s Marathon Weekend, and today, a select group of runners can sign up for the weekend’s races!

If you are a runDisney Gold or Platinum Member, you can register for Marathon Weekend races beginning today at 10AM EST. General registration will open on April 19th at 10AM EST.

The price for the event varies depending on the race. The 5K, which is on January 5th, is $103.40 if you register between April 19th-September 19th, and then goes up to $114.06 for those who register between September 20th through December 29th.

The 10K, which takes place on January 6th, is $146.04 if you register between April 19th and September 19th and goes up to $156.70 if you register after that. The half-marathon is scheduled for January 7th, and will be $213.20 if you register before September 19th and will be $223.86 if you register after that through December 29th. Finally, the marathon on January 8th will cost you $218.53 if you register before September 19th and will be $229.19 if you register between September 20th and December 29th.

There is also the special Dopey Challenge, which is a special title given to participants who complete all four races on Marathon Weekend. Registration for the Dopey Challenge is $660.92 through September 19th and $671.58 for those who register between September 19th and December 29th.
