It may be March but yes, we’re already thinking about Halloween. Can you blame us?
One of our favorite ways to celebrate the spooky season is with Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando, and it’s time to start planning because dates have now been revealed for the 2022 event!
Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) is an annual Halloween celebration at Universal Orlando, where you can visit horror houses and scare zones with some seriously spooky themes. Expect to be scared!
Today we learned that HHN, which is heading into its 31st year, will take place on 43 nights between September 2nd through October 31st. The dates are as follows:
- September 2-4, 7-11, 15-18, 21-25, 28-30
- October 1-2, 5-9, 12-16, 19-23, 26-31
Halloween Horror Nights also tweeted a bit of a teaser that could possibly hint at a new horror house?! We’ll have to wait and see! (Are you getting Scream vibes?)

According to Universal, Halloween Horror Nights 2022 will add 10 new “movie-quality” haunted houses, 5 scare zones, and 2 live shows.
Tickets are on sale now ranging from $73.99 to $104.99 (depending on the date) for single-night admission, and special tours are also available for purchase. The Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour gives guests a behind-the-scenes look at the scares with the lights on for $79.99, and the R.I.P. Tour gives guests V.I.P. access to the houses for $249.99.
You can save up to $200 on select vacation packages, which are available for purchase through May 5th. Savings depend on how many nights you’re visiting, so take a look at Universal’s website to find out if it would work for you!

Are both parks closed early on HHN days? Or is HHN just hosted at one park with the other closing at a regular time? I’m hoping to buy a one day park hopper but would love to know before I go if I’m getting the most out of my day or not. Not planning on attending/buying the special HHN ticketed event. Thank you.
