Many, many people have decided to spend their 2022 Spring Break at Disney World!
We’ve seen long wait times, and flight cancellations, and that’s understandable, because spring is a great time to visit! But if you have an upcoming trip and are worried about crowd levels, we’ve got good news today: Disney is extending park hours in April, which should help with some of those crowd issues.
Let’s take a look at the extra time we’ll have in the parks!
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom park hours have been extended by two hours from April 1st through April 9th. The park will now be open from 9AM to 11PM. If you’re staying in a Deluxe Resort, you will get extended evening hours on April 6 until 1AM!
On April 10th through the 16th, Magic Kingdom will be open from 9AM until 11PM.
And, on April 17th through the 23rd, Magic Kingdom will be open from 9AM until 11PM with Extended Evening Hours on April 20th will be from 11PM to 1AM.
For the rest of April 2022, Magic Kingdom hours remain set at 9AM to 9PM daily, with extended park hours for guests of Disney Deluxe resorts on March 20th and 27th.

EPCOT
While Magic Kingdom is staying open later in early April, EPCOT is opening earlier. You can start your day earlier April 4th through April 9th, when the park will open at 8:30AM.
Then, on April 10th through the 16th, EPCOT will be open from 8:30AM until 9PM.
And, on April 17th through 23rd, EPCOT will be open from 8:30AM to 9PM.
The rest of the month, EPCOT will be open from 10AM to 9PM, with extended evening hours for Deluxe resort guests on April 4th, 11th, 18th, 19th, and 25th.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Like EPCOT, Hollywood Studios will be opening earlier at the beginning of April, so you’ll need to push that alarm back to rope drop! The park will open at 8:30AM April 1st through April 3rd, and at 8AM April 4th through April 9th. There is one other important date to be aware of here … Hollywood Studios is closing EARLY at 5PM on April 6.
On April 10th through the 16th, Hollywood Studios will be open from 8AM until 9PM…
…and on April 17th through 23rd, Hollywood Studios will be open from 8AM to 9PM.
Hollywood Studios is set to open at 9AM for the rest of the month of April. If you’re staying at a Disney deluxe resort, there are Extended Evening Hours offered on April 13TH from 9PM to 11PM. We don’t see extended hours at Hollywood Studios often, so be sure to take advantage of them if you can!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Heading over to Animal Kingdom, Disney has extended the park hours at both ends of the spectrum — DAK will be open earlier AND later at the beginning of April. That’s great for park hopping! From April 1st through April 9th, the park will be open from 7:30AM to 8:30PM.
On April 10th through the 16th, Animal Kingdom will be open from 7:30AM until 8:30PM.
And, on April 17th through 23rd, Animal Kingdom will be open from 7:30AM to 8:30PM.
For the rest of April, Animal Kingdom will be open from 9AM to 7PM daily.
Typhoon Lagoon
We also noticed that Typhoon Lagoon has had some of its hours extended. From March 25th through 27th, the water park will close at 6PM, rather than 5 PM.
We’re seeing the same for some weekends in April, specifically April 1st-3rd, April 8th-10th, and April 15th-17th.
If you are planning a Disney World trip in early April, you have the option of lots more time in the parks with these park hour extensions! Disney adjusts its hours frequently, and we will keep you updated here at All Ears!

I was looking forward to enjoying the 9-11pm extended park hours at Magic Kingdom with my eight and six year olds, but now that it’s 11pm-1am, I doubt we’ll be able to take advantage of this “benefit” for deluxe resort guests. It’s just too late when we’re shooting for an early start at Hollywood Studios the next morning!
