Marvel Joins Forces with 'Game of Thrones' Author George R.R. Martin

Marvel fans now have more exciting new content to look forward to!

It’s a great time to be a Marvel fan. Between recent ultra-popular movies and upcoming new releases, there are tons of exciting stories to follow. And now, a popular anthology by Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin is also set for a Marvel Comics adaptation.

The Hollywood Reporter recently shared that George R. R. Martin is joining forces with Marvel Comics to adapt his Wild Cards stories.

Marvel is adapting Martin’s first Wild Cards book, which launched a long-running anthology series in 1987. Martin commented on the upcoming project, “As my fans may already know, the Wild Cards World holds a special place in my heart. So to have the privilege of announcing that an industry titan like Marvel is going to produce the narrative from the beginning as a comic book brings me no end of joy.”

The Wild Cards series follows an alternate post-World War II history where Earth is home to super-powered individuals. The lucky few “aces” — those gifted with superpowers — can choose to use their powers towards heroic goals or villainous ones.
