DATES for 2022 Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure

Disney California Adventure is home to a few fan-favorite festivals at the Disneyland Resort.

We recently celebrated the Festival of Holidays there, where you can try delicious holiday food from different booths around the park. Now, Disney has announced the dates for another big festival that takes place early next year!

The Lunar New Year Festival is coming back to Disney California Adventure! It will take place on January 21st through February 13th, 2022.

This holiday, which is traditionally observed by Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures, comes to Disneyland in the form of specialty food and drinks, entertainment and cultural performances, and other festive activities.

2022 will be the Year of the Tiger, so Disney is inviting Tigger along to help us celebrate. You’ll also be able to see other characters like Mulan, Mushu, Mickey, Minnie, and more in their festive attire.

This year’s festival will bring back the Lucky Wishing Wall, “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession,” and live entertainment at the Paradise Garden Bandstand.

You can also visit the Lunar New Year marketplaces around the park, which will have Asian dishes for guests to enjoy. The Sip and Savor Pass will be returning in 2022 as well.

And NEW this year, Raya from Raya and the Last Dragon is joining the celebration! If you want to see her, head to the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail to visit the setting that was “inspired by her native Kumandra.”
