PHOTOS & VIDEO: Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Drawn to Life’ Opens in Disney World

Over a year following Disney World’s reopening, several guest offerings are just now starting to come back. Over at Disney Springs, some long-awaited entertainment is finally celebrating its opening!

Disney World began its temporary closure just days before performances of the new Cirque du Soleil show, Drawn to Life, were set to begin. Now, it’s finally time to raise the curtain!

We’re at the first night of performances. It feels like we’ve been waiting such a long time to see this new show since it was originally set to open back in the spring of 2020! We’re so happy to see its time has finally arrived.

Drawn to Life follows the story of Julie, a 12-year-old girl, who finds a piece of unfinished animation left to her by her father, who passed away.

Julie works to finish the piece of animation and goes on an exciting adventure along the way.

Using her imagination, Julie goes on a journey of animation, where she’ll encounter all kinds of unique characters. Throughout the show, you’ll see images depicting all kinds of classic Disney characters, so keep those eyes peeled!

During the show’s delay, the creators had time to revisit the story and even add in some new acts. The show has 10 acts in total that guests will get to enjoy.

Throughout the show, the international cast of 62 artists will perform some seriously incredible feats.

Cirque has shared that this is a “first-of-its-kind” collaboration between Cirque and Disney and truly is a “love letter to Disney Animation interpreted through Cirque du Soleil’s acrobatic performances.”

Tonight, we got to be in the audience for the show’s opening night!

Still need to pick up your tickets? Head to the Box Office, located just outside of the main lobby entrance.

Walking through the lobby space, you’re immediately surrounded by the magic of Disney animation.

There’s also a bar area where guests can purchase beverages.

Here’s a look at what you can purchase at the bar! Both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are available.

There are special Drawn to Life-branded cups available when you purchase a drink.

The design continues as you make your way to your seat.

Even the restrooms are animation-themed!

You can find little nods to animation everywhere you go!

The restroom has even more fun tidbits of information about Disney animation, so be sure to make a pitstop while you’re there!

Tickets are currently on sale for the Cirque du Soleil show. It will be offered most nights from Tuesday through Saturday in Disney Springs. Select shows have sold out, so be sure to get your tickets in advance.

  1. In a related question: Can you now enter Disney Springs at the Cirque de Soleil entrance? That entrance was closed so temperature checks could be performed at two other entrances in the middle and the entrance by Bibbidi Boppidi Boutique. Has it been reopened? I prefer walking from Saratoga Springs and using that entrance.

  2. I loved the previous Cirque du Soleil show and was thrilled when they announced this new show. I have a ticket to see the show Friday December 10th. I bought it in August.
