Over a year following Disney World’s reopening, several guest offerings are just now starting to come back. Over at Disney Springs, some long-awaited entertainment is finally celebrating its opening!
We’re at the first night of performances. It feels like we’ve been waiting such a long time to see this new show since it was originally set to open back in the spring of 2020! We’re so happy to see its time has finally arrived.
Drawn to Life follows the story of Julie, a 12-year-old girl, who finds a piece of unfinished animation left to her by her father, who passed away.
Julie works to finish the piece of animation and goes on an exciting adventure along the way.
Using her imagination, Julie goes on a journey of animation, where she’ll encounter all kinds of unique characters. Throughout the show, you’ll see images depicting all kinds of classic Disney characters, so keep those eyes peeled!
During the show’s delay, the creators had time to revisit the story and even add in some new acts. The show has 10 acts in total that guests will get to enjoy.
Throughout the show, the international cast of 62 artists will perform some seriously incredible feats.
Cirque has shared that this is a “first-of-its-kind” collaboration between Cirque and Disney and truly is a “love letter to Disney Animation interpreted through Cirque du Soleil’s acrobatic performances.”
Tonight, we got to be in the audience for the show’s opening night!
