Why You Might Want to Consider a 2022 Trip To Hong Kong Disneyland

2022 is almost here, and Disney Parks are making lots of plans for the new year.

Hong Kong Disneyland is going big for 2022, with a new nighttime spectacular, tons of new food and merchandise, and more. If you’re planning a trip soon, it’s time to get excited!

Today Hong Kong Disneyland released details about several upcoming things that will be brand new in 2022, and some that are returning. Here’s what to look forward to in 2022!

New Nighttime Spectacular

In 2022, the Castle of Magical Dreams will be transformed every Friday to Sunday night, featuring a new multimedia show with a story told via Disney characters and music. Along with projections, there will be water projections, lasers, choreographed water fountains, pyrotechnics, and fireworks.

Disney and Pixar characters will be part of the show which, according to Disney, “reminds us how precious time is and inspires everyone to live life to the fullest.”

A Year of Celebrations

Hong Kong Disneyland has a LOT of celebrations planned for all of 2022. In January to February, guests can meet Tigger for the Year of the Tiger and the Chinese New Year celebration called “Magical Year After Year.”

In the summer, from June to August, guests can catch the Pixar Water Play Street Party on Main Street, U.S.A., featuring your favorite Pixar characters.

For the fall season from September to October, Disney Halloween Time will feature some “spooky surprises” from Disney characters AND villains.

And for the holiday season, A Disney Christmas will take place in November to December, and it will showcase festive costumes, lots of new, colorful lights, and even snowfall!

Meet Marvel Super Heroes

In 2022, guests will be able to celebrate along with new Marvel films scheduled for release, and new super heroes will be coming to the park! Guests can also continue to enjoy existing Marvel attractions like “Iron Man Experience” and “Ant-Man and The Was: Nano Battle!”

LOTS of New Food

In 2022, over 30 new foods and beverages will be available in Hong Kong Disneyland and hotels EACH MONTH.

Explorer’s Club Restaurant will feature a semi-buffet, and the Food and Drink Fair will also make its return!

ALL the New Merchanidise

Hong Kong Disneyland is going big in merch for 2022, with over 200 new merchandise items released every MONTH. According to Disney, this is “the highest number of new items being released in the resort’s history!”

Some of their new merchandise collections will be called “Hearth & Home” and “Disney Fashion,” and there will also be some exclusive collectibles released throughout the year.

Also, Duffy will have a new friend come along to Hong Kong Disneyland! LinaBell will join Duffy with all new merchandise and even food and drinks in fall 2022.

Magic Access Member Perks

Magic Access Members will have the opportunity to get exclusive collectibles throughout the year, and from now until November 19th. they can also renew their membership at a 30% off discount.
